A Vegas Bees Favorite for Snacking, Gifting & Grazing.
We stumbled on this recipe during one of those internet searching evenings—when the bees were tucked in for the night, and we had a little time to play in the kitchen.
We had a fresh jar of our own local honey sitting on the counter, some raw nuts in the pantry, and a craving for something just a little sweet, a little salty, and definitely crunchy.
That first batch didn’t last the night. Now we make these all the time—for customer gifts, backyard get-togethers, or to toss on a charcuterie board when friends come by to talk bees. It’s one of those recipes that seems fancy but couldn’t be easier.
Ingredients:
2 cups mixed raw nuts (almonds, pecans, walnuts, cashews—go wild!)
1/4 cup local raw honey (the star of the show)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
Optional: pinch of cayenne for heat or a touch of rosemary for a savory twist
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 325°F and line a baking sheet with parchment or a silicone mat.
In a large bowl, combine honey, melted butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Stir until smooth.
Add your nuts and toss well—every piece should be glossy and coated.
Spread the mixture evenly on your baking sheet, leaving space so the nuts don’t stick together.
Bake for 18–22 minutes, stirring halfway. Keep an eye on them—nuts can go from golden to burnt in a flash!
While they’re still warm, sprinkle with a little extra sea salt for that perfect sweet-salty balance.
Let them cool completely—they’ll crisp up as they cool.
Tips & Twists:
Add a splash of bourbon for a grown-up depth.
Great for topping salads, yogurt, or oatmeal, or just packing up in mason jars for gifts.
Mix in sesame seeds or pumpkin seeds for texture and visual interest.
Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks (if they last that long!).
These honey-glazed nuts are proof that something simple can still feel a little bit special—especially when it’s made with your own honey, straight from the hive.
Give them a try, and don’t be surprised if you find yourself making batch after batch.
