What kind of honey does Vegas Bees sell?
Vegas Bees sells pure local honey harvested from our bee hives in Las Vegas, Overton, and the Great Basin Desert. We use cheesecloth to filter any wax or impurities from the honeycombs.
Is your honey organic?
While our honey is not certified organic, it is produced using sustainable beekeeping practices that prioritize the health and well-being of the bees. They fly freely throughout Las Vegas, Overton, and the Great Basin Desert, collecting pollen and nectar where they find it.
Is local honey safe for people with allergies and babies?
While Vegas Bees honey is generally safe for people with allergies, it is essential to note that it may contain trace amounts of pollen from other plants, which could cause an allergic reaction in some individuals.
We want to remind you that honey can pose serious risks for young children. Babies under one year of age should never have honey, and we strongly recommend against giving it to children under two.
Can I visit the beehives where the honey is produced?
Unfortunately, due to safety concerns, we do not offer beehive visits or tours. This is because there are so many bees!
How is your honey harvested?
Our honey is harvested using a bee-friendly method that involves removing the frames of the honeycomb from the beehive and then spinning the honey out of the comb. This process ensures that the bees are not injured.
How should I store my honey?
Honey should be stored at room temperature in a cool, dry place. It should not be refrigerated, as this can cause the honey to crystallize.
